Locals to the Eastern Shore of Maryland: can you find and recognize
Dolores Spikes below? This mathematician is also the President of the
University of Maryland, Eastern Shore (UMES) whom I invited (and was
gratified to have her accept the invitation) to speak in the Spring of 2001
at our own Salisbury University (13 miles north of UMES) in honor of
both the Multi-cultural Festival Week at SU, and Math Awareness Month.
