Required Materials

You must have all of these with you for each class:

  • At least two pencils -- sharpened before class starts
  • At least one eraser
  • At least three "colors" (e.g. blue pen, green pen, and pencil). Four may be useful at times.

  • A ruler (either metric or English) that is in good working condition
  • Scissors
  • A Protractor (For 230/Geom. only; or use paper one from text Material Cards)

  • BOTH Textbooks. This can be heavy, and we will only occasionally use the Activity book, so here's a suggestion: partner up with someone and alternate days or weeks for which partner brings the textbook (you can always share it); each always bring your Activity book from which you can use the fill-in activities or cut-out materials.

  • Plenty of paper, including some blank paper (for brain-storming and investigating during problem-solving) and some graph-paper These should be in addition to a large supply of paper to take notes on.

  • An organized binder in which to keep your notes, handouts, etc.
