* Rather than seeing Prof Gross individually only, I thought I'd use
* this list as others did last semester, so we can all see where the
* sections are relative the syllabus.

* Last week I finished section 11.2 (after handing out a 1-page handout
* on material I didn't get to in the lecture).

* That would put my section "only" a text-section behind, however, my
* section does not meet in Tuesdays so we have just ONE class this
* coming "week", as opposed to most(all?) other sections' two classes.
* Then there are four classes the following week.
* 
* The way the syllabus is now, during those five classes, I would have
* to cover 11.3 (dot product and applications), 11.4 (cross product and
* applications), 11.5 (lines and applications), 11.7 (Vector Functions),
* 12.1 (Functions of several variables), and 12.3 (partial derivatives)
* 
* -- which, *even* under the assumption that only lines, not planes,
* will be covered, is still 6 sections (albeit one of them shortened) to
* be covered over the last 5 classes of the semester.

* Taking just one class for Review for Prelim III would make it 6
* sections to cover over the last 4 classes of the semester. So I'm
* feeling a bit squeezed by this, and I'm wondering if other instructors
* might be feeling the same way (even if they have one additional class)
* and what can be done.
